The largest category of a sales promotion budget is often likely to be the media cost. This
means that it is important to have an effective media plan for an advertising campaign in order to
reach the target market (Albarran, 2016). This means determining the right amount to locate
across various media types such as radio & TV, cable, newspaper, magazine, billboards, and
social media. Each of these medial types has different costs. In this case, the budget allocated is
$20,000 for a retail business in a local market.

Every customer in retail business has unique
