A biome is defined as a wide area with a certain climate, flora, fauna and is categorized
into five major divisions. These include aquatic, grassland, forest, desert, and tundra (National
Geographic, 2020). My region, San Marcos Central Texas, is situated under the grassland biome
category. The specific climate of this area is humid, subtropical in nature. This region usually has
a hot, humid climate in summers and a mild to cool climate during winters. The most common
flora would find in this place include prairie plant and flower species such as columbine, pecan
trees, elm trees, etc. (Davis, 2019). However, this place’s most commonly found fauna include
